Suniel Shetty’s Food Delivery App: Vayu, a new entry in the food delivery space, has been launched by Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty. Vayu is set to compete with established players like Swiggy and Zomato and offers food delivery services at a more affordable rate, 15 to 20 percent cheaper than its competitors. The app aims to tackle the existing challenges faced by customers and restaurants in the online food delivery sector, including excessive commission rates, unreliable rankings, bogus reviews, and subpar quality.
More than 1,000 restaurants are connected.
The Vayu app, created by Destec HoreCa, has garnered support from prominent food organizations such as the Indian Hotel and Restaurant Association (AHAR) and other Mumbai-based culinary bodies. With its extensive network of over 1,000 restaurants in the city, Vayu serves as a vital link connecting customers and dining establishments in Mumbai.
Customers will receive low cost, clean food.
As reported by various media sources, Vayu has adopted a commendable approach by refraining from charging any commission fees from restaurants. This beneficial arrangement enables restaurants to offer food at more affordable rates. With a clear objective of providing cost-effective, hygienic, and punctual food delivery services, Vayu aims to alleviate common customer concerns such as expensive meals, delayed deliveries, and subpar food quality.
Sunil Shetty becomes brand ambassador of Vayu
The food delivery company has enlisted the services of experienced actor and hotelier Suniel Shetty as its brand ambassador. It’s worth mentioning that eateries have voiced their grievances about Zomato and Swiggy, citing excessive commission charges and delivery delays as major concerns.
